A Brief History of Ryan

That’s a clever pun on the Stephen Hawking’s book a brief history of time, in case you missed it. I was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1980 (making me 29). I moved to Galway, Ireland when I was little, then moved back when I was a little bigger (I was 10). I went to School in St Pius X boys national school, then Templeogue College for secondardy school, then Trinity College Dublin, where I studied Law. I started working in Radio when I was 16. I got work experience in a pirate radio station, Freedom 92fm, when I was in transition year in Templeogue College and fell in love with radio. I then worked on a couple of other pirate radio stations before starting to work with Spin1038 in Dublin, where I still work today.

I’m a fully qualified solicitor, and worked for a big law firm in Dublin called McCann FitzGerald. I stopped working there in February 2009 to focus on radio for a few years and see where the road leads.

I write my own music, but haven’t had much success with it. I’m hoping to dedicate more time to it in the next year or 2 and hopefully come up with some better material.

I live with my Girlfriend Orla in an apartment we rent in Dundrum.
